Kanye West’s daughter North shocks fans as she raps fluently in a foreign language on rapper’s new album Vultures 2

North West hopped on another one of her dad’s, Kanye “Ye” West, tracks but this time in a different language. North rapped in Japanese on the Vultures 2 track, Bomb

North West is making a mark in the music industry.

The 11-year-old decided to hop on her father’s, Kanye “Ye” West, new album Vultures 2 and showed the world she could speak another language other than English.

In the track, Bomb, which also features North’s little sister, Chicago West, six, North rapped in Japanese throughout the song. Vultures 2 is a collaborative album with Ty Dolla Sign, which was released on Saturday, August 3.

This was no the first time North decided to hop on a track with her father. She made her music debut in Vultures in 2024 on the song Talking.

Many fans were impressed with North’s rapping skills and expressed it on X. formerly known as Twitter, as well as Instagram.

One person wrote: “No way north west rapped in japanese.” Another person wrote: “North West stole the show on the album rapping in Japanese! It’s the best track on Kanye West’s new album!” A third person wrote: “Not North West rapping in Japanese,” with a heart eyes emoji.” A fourth wrote: “North West raps in Japanese on “bomb” from Kanye’s Vultures 2. That was smart.”

North rapped: “Ohayou gozaimasu” (good morning), “Konnichiwa” (hello), and “Watashi no namae wa North-chan” (My name is North).”

Other fans felt like the verse was not necessary. One person wrote: “North West speaking Japanese was the best song I have ever heard (it was the most s–t thing I’ve ever heard).” Another person wrote: “Bomb is an insane beat just for it to be north west saying her name in Japanese.” A third wrote: “A song called bomb is the last song you should be speaking Japanese in.”

North and Kanye are not the only artist rapping in Japanese. Megan Thee Stallion’s latest track, Mamasushi, featuring Japanese rapper Yuki Chiba, went viral on TikTok and took off from her self-titled album, which release in June. She performed the song for the first time in London last month with Yuki and they did the viral TikTok dance on stage. Megan also released the first teaser for the Mamushi music video on Thursday and it was filmed in Japan.
