Blackbeard’s Return in One Piece Teases His Next Target – And It Will Be Brutal

With One Piece in its final stretch, it seems the final villain will be established soon with a major development. There are a few contenders to be Luffy’s last antagonists, such as Akainu and Imu, but the story hints that Marshal D. Teach, the fearsome Blackbeard, will take that role.

In chapter #1122 of One Piece, amidst the worldwide announcement by Vegapunk, Caribou was begging Catrina Devon and Van Augr to let him talk to Blackbeard, as he had important information he’d be interested in.

Although the two were hesitant, Blackbeard was willing to give him an audience and would kill him if the information wasn’t important. This is a game-changer move as Caribou is about to reveal the whereabouts of an Ancient Weapon, putting two islands in grave danger.

Blackbeard’s Goal Is Close To Being Realized

Teach Can Get His Hands on the Ancient Weapons

His Tremor-Tremor fruit allows him to take down the walls of Wano, exposing the Ancient Weapon.

Caribou was an unexpected character in Wano, and fans had no idea what Oda was planning to do with him, but this twist in events could lead to a huge power upset. Caribou is aware that Pluton is hidden in Wano, and that Princess Shirahoshi is the Ancient Weapon, Neptune. Given how power-hungry Blackbeard is, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that he will launch an attack on the two islands. His Tremor-Tremor fruit allows him to take down the walls of Wano, exposing the Ancient Weapon.

Besides acquiring one of the most devastating powers in One Piece, Blackbeard setting his sights on Wano and Fishman Island will make him an even bigger enemy of Luffy. The two islands are under the protection of the Straw Hat Pirates, so Teach trespassing on Luffy’s turf will definitely put them at war. Although Blackbeard was one of the people responsible for Ace’s death, Luffy was never interested in revenge. However, Teach attacking Luffy’s islands will surely solidify him as Luffy’s biggest enemy.

Blackbeard heading to Wano is an exciting and very real possibility, and although it will most likely end up in his favor, there will be exciting battles such as Blackbeard vs Yamato and the Scabbards. With One Piece in the second stage of the final saga, Blackbeard is gearing up for yet another battle as he officially becomes the biggest menace to Luffy going forward.
