Mumbai Police have arrested a 20-year-old man from Noida in connection with a threat call case involving Bollywood actor Salman Khan and late NCP leader Baba Siddique’s son, MLA Zeeshan Siddique.

Mumbai Police have arrested a 20-year-old man from Noida in connection with a threat call case involving Bollywood actor Salman Khan and late NCP leader Baba Siddique’s son, MLA Zeeshan Siddique. The accused, identified as Mohammad Tayyab alias Gurfan Khan, was caught in Noida’s Sector 39 area on Tuesday.

Zeeshan Siddique, son of NCP leader Baba Siddique, and Bollywood actor Salman Khan received threat calls, weeks after the former Maharashtra minister was shot dead in Mumbai allegedly by members of Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

A threat call demanding money and issuing warnings against both Zeeshan Siddique and Salman Khan was received at Siddique’s public relations office in Bandra East.

Following the call, an employee from Zeeshan Siddique’s office filed a complaint, prompting authorities to register a case at the Nirmal Nagar police station in Mumbai.

Police sources said that Mohammad Tayyab, a Delhi resident, was taken into custody by Mumbai Police, who secured a transit remand to transfer him to Mumbai for further investigation.

Earlier on October 25, Zeeshan Siddique formally joined the Ajit Pawar-led NCP faction, nearly three months after his expulsion from the Congress for allegedly cross-voting in the Maharashtra legislative council elections.

On October 12, 66-year-old Baba Siddique was shot dead outside his office in Mumbai’s Bandra during Dussehra celebrations. A day later, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the murder.
