It’s an early clash of powerhouse teams in the PBA Governors’ Cup.

San Miguel and Brgy. Ginebra headline another Tuesday slate in the PBA, but while both teams are considered favorites for the Governors’ Cup title, they are on opposite ends of the spectrum based off of their week 1 performance.

The Beermen are business as usual, taking the early lead in Group B with a 2-0 mark after two separate monster performances from June Mar Fajardo and import Jordan Adams.

Fajardo put up 37 points in 24 rebounds in the opening win vs. Phoenix, while Adams dropped 50 in a win against Blackwater.

Meanwhile, it was a tough season-opener for Ginebra, who only scored 64 points in an out-of-town loss to Rain or Shine.

It was a true tough game for the Gin Kings, as the team saw Scottie Thompson, Isaac Go, and prized rookie RJ Abarrientos shoot a combined 3/39 from the field.

Tip off for the first San Miguel-Ginebra game of the season is at 7:30 p.m. at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

In the first game at 5:00 p.m., defending champion TNT goes for a third win in a row as the Tropang Giga take on the Converge FiberXers (1-1).
