Tesla Cybertruck gets Vision Park Assist with update 2024.26.11

Tesla has officially released the Cybertruck’s first driver-assist feature. As reported by Cybertruck owners on social media, their all-electric pickup truck received Tesla Vision Park Assist with update 2024.26.11.

Earlier this week, comments on social media platform X from Tesla Director of Autopilot Software Ashok Elluswamy suggested that the Cybertruck’s first driver-assist feature would be rolled out at the end of the week. As per the Tesla executive, the Cybertruck will “start with parking assistance features” since the vehicle is not exactly the easiest to park. He also noted that FSD is expected to be released for the Cybertruck in September.

True to Elluswamy’s comments, Tesla did release its Vision Park Assist feature for the Cybertruck this weekend. The release of the feature received much appreciation from social media, with many stating that the function is long overdue for the vehicle.

Following are the release notes for Tesla Vision Park Assist for the Cybertruck.

Tesla Vision Park Assist

Tesla Vision Park Assist now displays a high fidelity 3D representation of the world around your vehicle, including the proximity and shape of nearby objects, barriers, vehicles, and painted road markings.

You can use Park Assist with or without audible feedback. To turn chimes on or off, go to Controls > Safety > Park Assist Chimes.

Note that Park Assist is for guidance purposes only and is not a substitute for an alert driver. Remain attentive and avoid obstacles as required.

It should be noted that the feature that the Cybertruck received this weekend is Vision Park Assist, not Vision Autopark. Thus, the feature only gives drivers a good overview of the space around them as they maneuver their Cybertruck into a parking space. The feature does not park the all-electric pickup truck itself. With Vision Park Assist now released for the Cybertruck, however, it would not be surprising if more driver-assist features are rolled out to the vehicle in the coming weeks.
